Shop Orientation was basically the intro to woodworking and metalworking class in RISD. My department takes shopworking seriously and we are required to be able to “make the actual thing” with good craftsmanship instead of sitting in front of the computer all day long. It lays a solid foundation for me to develop prototypes that can actually interact with users later on.
