Digital Modeling
Solidworks+Keyshot

I did automotive styling design in undergrad, which made me sensitive to ergonomics, how the human bodies interact with machines and how to make one product fit different user bodies within the range which product is marketed to. Solidworks is a digital modeling program that meets the engineering and production requirements of industrial design. So I wanted to make a human figure that follows the American standard ergonomic database in Solidworks as a tool to test out the ergonomic function for design projects in Solidworks.
‍
But when I was assembling different parts of the body together, Solidworks kept breaking down. My instructor thought that the constraints to put together the human body are too complicated for Solidworks to handle, it is a program for mechanical constraints, not organic ones.
So instead of making an ergonomic tool, I made this entertaining wood figure and had some fun.
